Sports are more than games—they are structure, discipline, and belonging.
Our founders grew up on Lewiston’s fields and courts, witnessing how sports can keep youth engaged, motivated, and connected to positive role models. Through culturally grounded, inclusive programming, we use athletics as a gateway to personal growth.

Our Programs

Youth Soccer Leagues & Tournaments:

Building teamwork, confidence, and discipline through competitive and recreational play.Sports become an anchor—keeping youth active, reducing risk-taking behaviors, and fostering lifelong values like resilience, responsibility, and teamwork.

Basketball Training & Open Gyms: Providing safe, supervised spaces for youth to develop skills and stay active after school.

  1. Strength & Conditioning Sessions: Teaching youth how to care for their bodies, improve performance, and build healthy habits.

  2. Boys & Girls Empowerment Teams: Gender-specific spaces that build leadership, confidence, and peer support among youth.

Leadership & Mentorship Development

Dhalinyaro Kings Collective is youth-led for a reason: we believe the most effective leaders are those who know the struggle firsthand.
Our leadership programs give youth the opportunity to design, run, and shape initiatives that matter to them. When youth lead, they gain ownership, confidence, and purpose.

Our leadership programs include:

  • Youth Leadership Council: Young people make decisions, plan events, design programs, and guide the Collective’s direction.

  • Mentorship Circles: Pairing youth with positive male and female role models from the community who provide guidance, accountability, and empowerment.

  • Skill-Building Workshops: Public speaking, teamwork, conflict resolution, time management, and community advocacy.

  • Community Service & Civic Engagement: Teaching youth how to give back, serve others, and create lasting change in their neighborhoods.

Nutrition & Health Education

Healthy bodies lead to healthy minds. Many youth in our community lack access to nutritious foods, wellness knowledge, and culturally relevant health guidance. We fill that gap by teaching youth how to fuel their bodies and take pride in their wellness.

Our nutrition programs include:

  • Hands-On Cooking & Meal Prep Workshops: Youth learn to prepare simple, nutritious meals using affordable ingredients.

  • Education on Hydration, Sports Nutrition & Recovery: Helping athletes understand how to support their performance and avoid injury.

  • Community Food Access Support: Connecting families with resources for groceries, hot meals, and healthy snacks.

  • Health Literacy Workshops: Understanding the basics of wellness, sleep, stress, and how to care for one’s physical and mental health.
Youth build lifelong habits around food, wellness, and self-care. They learn that caring for their body is an act of self-respect—and a foundation for leadership.

Parent & Family Engagement

We know youth thrive when their families are supported. Our parent programming strengthens the connection between home and community.

Our family programs include:

  • Parent Circles: Supportive spaces to discuss communication, youth development, mental health, and cultural challenges.

  • Family Health Workshops: Nutrition, wellness, and understanding the needs of young athletes.

  • Community Resource Navigation: Helping families access support, financial assistance, and mental health services.

  • Parent–Youth Leadership Collaborations: Creating opportunities for families to grow, learn, and lead together.

Families become stronger, more connected, and better equipped to guide their children. The whole community benefits when parents and youth grow together.

“Every young person deserves someone who believes in them before they believe in themselves.”
